THE STORY OF OUR CHURCH:

Every church has a beginning—this is ours.

For decades, Cedar Crest has been a place where people gather to worship, grow, and serve.

What began as a small community of believers has grown into a church family committed to abiding in Christ, engaging with others, and investing in God’s Kingdom.

Through every season, God’s faithfulness has guided our story.

OUR BELIEFS:

The Gospel

WHAT IS
THE GOSPEL?

The gospel is the good news of God’s grace invading the darkness of this world. It tells the story of creation, where God made all things good; of the fall, when sin entered and marred His perfect world; and of redemption, accomplished through Jesus Christ.

God’s plan of salvation unfolds through the life, death, resurrection, and ascension of His Son.

Crucifixion: The heart of the gospel, where Christ bore our sin and satisfied God’s justice.

Resurrection: The power of the gospel, proving Christ’s victory over sin and death.

Ascension: The glory of the gospel, where Christ reigns at God’s right hand and prepares a place for His people.

The gospel calls all people to repentance and faith, promising forgiveness, transformation, and eternal life through Jesus Christ alone.

We believe in one God, eternally existing as three distinct persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—each fully God, yet one in essence.

God has revealed Himself through creation, Scripture, and supremely in Jesus Christ.

Doctrine of Creation and Providence
We believe God created all things out of nothing and sustains and governs all things perfectly, at all times and in all places.

All people are created in God’s image, bearing inherent dignity and value.

Doctrine of Sin
Sin has marred God’s good creation, leaving humanity and the world in need of redemption.

Salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received by faith alone in Jesus Christ alone.

Doctrine of the Church
The Church is God’s people, called to worship, serve, and shine the light of Christ in the world.

Doctrine of New Creation
Jesus Christ will return to bring final judgment and establish a new creation, where God’s glory will fill all things.
